Operations Engineer

Description Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Production/Facilities Operations Engineer. This is a field-based position located at our Morristown, OH field office and reports to the Operations Engineering Manager. The Operations Engineer role requires a well-rounded individual capable of engineering design and analysis as well as familiarity with on-site operations. The best candidate will have demonstrated an aptitude to leverage reason, data, analysis, and experience to improve efficiencies and reduce costs in field operations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities o Identify and lead projects to drive economic profitability (NAV, NPV, PIR, et cetera). o Provide expertise in designing and troubleshooting production equipment. o Lead, develop, and train best practices for troubleshooting production operations and equipment. o Design, implement, and assess testing to improve consumables and equipment selection. o Conduct research on new technologies or processes to improve efficiency or reduce costs in alignment with EHS objectives with special emphasis on surface facilities. o Optimize production through field surveillance and coordination with facilities and production engineering. o Interface with service companies and regulatory agencies. o Operate with comfort between 40% field, 60% office duties. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Minimum Requirements:
o Familiar with unconventional asset development and operations o Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive change o Interest and experience solving ill-defined and complex problems o Able to foster a high level of confidence and reliability in thought processes and results o Professional, polished demeanor; can work directly with field personnel to senior management o Knowledge of facilities equipment design, specs, codes, and industry standards o Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Preferred:
o Experience with volatile oils and gas condensate o Experience with compression (flash, gas lift, and wellhead) o Experience with gas dehydration o Experience with SIMOPs o Field-based operations experience Education & Work Experience Required Minimum Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering o 6-10 years of professional oil and gas exploration and production experience Preferred:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
